Fincher Smith is a 3rd generation Tallahasseean and has lived here his whole life. After owning twelve houses over the years, Fincher finally decided to go into real estate full-time himself, since he was already so proficient with negotiation skills and both comfortable & confident with buying & selling homes.
Fincher’s love of the surrounding area is what kept him here for college, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from FSU, as well as what made him want to later raise his daughters here. From the sandy flat woods to the South Georgia clay, the Tallahassee area, of which Fincher “knows a little about a lot,” is both beautiful and diverse. Cypress-studded lakes and slews, live oak canopy roads, southern magnolias, dogwoods, and azaleas, as well as its proximity to the Gulf of Mexico make the Tallahassee area one of the top real estate locations in the nation.
Fincher’s passion for the hospitality business started as a young boy when he would spend weekends at his grandpa’s hotel in Waycross, Georgia, observing and helping the staff take care of customers. This early experience readied him for over 25 years in the restaurant and bar business, as well as his personal real estate dealings - including owning the Paradise Grill and, more recently, a beach bar called Finni’son St. George Island. As stated previously, Fincher has personally owned a dozen houses, which he was able to enhance and sell because he knows a “diamond in the rough” when he sees one. Fincher was also instrumental in the development of Evening Rose, one of Tallahassee’s first “green” communities, which houses the first Silver Lee Accredited home in the state of Florida.
Fincher enjoys all area of real estate and gets just as excited about helping his clients find their heart’s desire as if it were his own. In his experience, Fincher has found that real estate can be fun, fulfilling, life changing, and make people’s dreams come true! If you’re looking for a Tallahassee realtor, just remember that
“it’s a cinch… with Finch!”
